OUR STORY
When Ginger Sesame founder Jimmy was packing for a cruise in early 2023, he wanted a jacket that worked everywhere — from the pool or beach to lunch on deck or happy hour at the bar. Nothing he found felt quite right.
That search brought back memories of his dad, who always wore a short-sleeve terry jacket on family vacations to the Jersey Shore or on road trips along the East Coast. For Jimmy and his siblings, that jacket symbolized freedom — the moment their dad left his business suit behind and pointed the family compass toward leisure, adventure, and time together.
Inspired by those memories, Jimmy designed a modern version: the 16 Points Terry Jacket. Its name is a nod to the 16 points on a compass, a reminder that no matter where the day takes you — beach, boat, boardwalk, or beyond — you can always find your direction in comfort and style.
